This should be a Pentagon Papers moment for wealthy private universities. They should take in Harvard’s international students, accepting all their credits and charging them no or reduced tuition so they can finish their studies while the issue plays out in court.

Five years and one day ago, the University of Maryland shut us down because two people returning from NICAR had been exposed to COVID. We managed to keep doing some great journalism anyway!

With a blanket of snow comes a blizzard of snow day specials at local restaurants and bars, as establishments open early and offer deals to encourage you to “work remotely” with discounted food and drinks — sometimes for all ages.
