I had to drive to pickup my kid from camp today in Somerville. Gonna spend 20 minutes going about 1 mile. It’s horrible. There’s no bike lanes to blame here so I think maybe we should just bulldoze the school and apartment buildings to make another lane for cars.

I feel like this kind of forthright support for specific controversial policy goals (more housing and bike lanes) is something you get in a proportional representation system (or at least akin to it, like cambridges system), and you rarely see in first past the post systems like Somerville has.
