A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.
All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.
So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

My condolences to B&J and all my fellow VTers who work there. I always felt the sale to Unilever was not good, but had hope bcuz the conditions of sale.

I'm sorry to hear you say the farce of July. I'm in a Guard band. We work our butts off on the 4th,no matter our politics. For years I've spilled my musical guts, set up, drove box trucks, you name it, till 0100 after parades, concerts. I'm so beat I can't see straight but I won't give up on us.
