The Rouge Plant was a routine elementary-years field trip for Detroit area schools when I was a kid. Red hot ingots the size of a refrigerator passing in big pincers as we ran to the protected area of the catwalk. It’s probably tamer/more protected now (apart from the heckling). 😜

Changed my life. They were so bad I’d throw up from the pain a couple of times a year. I had an Rx anti-prostaglandin, but it was near-useless for me because it had to be started a certain number of days before, and mine were irregular. Then ibuprofen: twinge, take it, go back to what I was doing.

This isn’t about face-to-face, but it is about buses: in traffic, let a bus leave its stop and go ahead of you, instead of zooming ahead of it and making it wait. Think of how many people’s days you can improve in one fell swoop. They’re being green, reducing traffic, and may be low-income. Do it.
