Europe & Canada see us as an increasingly fascistic rogue state w/ the most powerful military in the world. They see us as a direct threat to their futures. This has to enter into the equation when we talk about "negotiations." We're in a "respond w/ force" not "respond w/ appeasement" phase.

Europe & Canada are going to go way harder on tariffs--& subsequent negotiations--given the threats to sovereignty, as well as the generally bellicose & destructive behavior. This isn't 2017-2020 where countries "grinned & bore it." Nor do they feel inclined to "Just make America happy."
