Edinburgh gave Janey Godley a fitting send off. I walked behind the hearse, there was a minute’s silence at St Giles’ Cathedral followed by choir singing Beautiful Day by Elbow. We joined in the chorus, there were 100s lining the streets clapping and cheering.
