@davidlemieux.bsky.social - The recent announcement of the 50th anniversary of BFA and subsequent @bourgwick.bsky.social GDC S12:EP2 has me eagerly diving back into early ‘76 material. A year that I have overlooked but this new spotlight shows a refreshed and exciting GD! So thanks you two!

Having fantastic time reading “Loud and Clear” in conjunction with “Grateful Dead Gear”. Great companion pieces. Nice to be reminded how revolutionary the GD were with their sound in their early years. True sonic pioneers! “Primal Dead” hits a little stronger than normal in my current chapters.

This book showed up today and I’m looking forward to diving into it! Thanks #dennismcnally. My third book by him. Throughly enjoyed the Kerouac and Grateful Dead books. Both extremely well researched and written. Expecting the same here.

The Peggy-O from today in 1977 has a shorter but absolutely soaring solo from Garcia. The band backing him more and more as he makes his solo rounds. Pure beauty! #newhaven
