Hard to beat this cast and their comic timing. You'll recognise plenty of familiar faces, early in their career.

An incredible debut solo album. Took more than a year to produce, recorded in Denmark + half the tracks went to No 1. GM wrote and produced every song except one + played various instruments (in addition to session musicians) on the album.

Production design, script, screenwriting, original artwork, the Danish countryside, succession of legacy .. there’s so much to love in this Danish series about the family left behind by a powerful matriarch and prolific artist. Quite the alternative to Nordic Noir.

The final painting was a copy of a studio photograph taken of the actor (both the costume and set were painted by Rymar and Turnbull). The photo was lit to appear flat then artificially aged.

Fun fact: Xanadu was Gene Kelly’s last film role.

Depicted in the film as a wall mural in Venice Beach, it was actually superimposed (as was the wall itself) onto a still photo of Dudley Avenue for the film production. The mural was painted and photographed at Hollywood General Studios.

Flash forward to 1994 and Kevin's paddling again in The River Wild.
