I am no expert, but I suspect that is correct regarding autism. There are other neurodivergent conditions where a cause is clearly understood (ie FASD). In those cases think you can work on prevention without devaluing those with that condition, agree?

Is there a timeline?

Has Winnipeg looked into putting credit card tap (and even Apple Pay or Google equivalent) in their buses? I would guess they could significantly increase ridership from occasional users if they didn’t need cash or a Peggo card to ride. Vancouver has had that for a while. Great for tourists.

I’m really hoping the changes we’re implementing in a few days are effective in increasing ridership.

My understanding is most expert and advocates for transit such as @brenttoderian.bsky.social and @humantransit.bsky.social support increasing level of service over making transit free, and over electrification of fleets. Perhaps reduced fare or free for some segments but not everyone.

We have a kitty named Cleo.

We did it years ago. It was all very beautiful, but some of the highlights were Cabot Trail, PEI area around Cavendish, and coastal road from Peggy’s Cove to Lunenburg

For our neighborhood of Riverview, I’d love to see new routes 664 and 895 merged ASAP. I submitted this input via 311 and got a response that it will be considered, but no changes planned for 1 year.

Lots of dissatisfaction in our Riverview Community Facebook group on the changes to service in our area. Was there any consideration to merge route 895 with 664? That would make a lot of sense, I’d think, and maintain our access too Taylor/Grant Park area that we currently get with the 95.

You can make just about any flat bar bike much more upright with a steerer tube extension and swept back bars such as the Jones bars. May also need a shorter stem. This is what got me back riding after dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck (cervical radiculopathy).
