just a bunch of doodles from the past week, i feel pretty good about them, like i think im improving

notebook page with a bunch of doodles on it, all from the week of december 14. theres no unifying theme here, but i did focus on hair and facial expressions this week, which you can see mainly with the two colored doodles and the one in the top right so these: top to down, left to right 1) i drew a feathered hat just because i thought itd be cute 2) youll notice this with some of my other doodles this week, but i tried to define the flow and sections of the hair with lines so that its not just a blob -- im hoping this helps me gain an intuitive sense for how hair should move so that i can draw more complex hairstyles without a reference 3) sketch in pencil, lined with a fountain pen, colored with pencil and normal, blue pen -- wanted to try a hairband and pin straight hair 4) sketch in pencil, lined with a blue fountain pen -- wanted to try a hairstyle that i struggle with a lot, used a reference but definitely was a good exercise in looking at how hair is chunked, still struggled with the bottom half of the hair -- also wanted to try glasses bc i think theyre cute -- (might also be fanart of an au version of a character i like) 5) youll notice random eyes / half faces, these are just for fun and to fill up space :3 left to right for these, just the bottom row of doodles 1) a quick sketch to try out a style thats a little different from what i naturally gravitate towards, also again, more practice with different hair styles and facial expressions, i think i did well with making the teeth not look too weird 2) cute lil guy and hat bc why not 3) tried alcohol markers for coloring, had to adjust the contrast of this page so that the colors look a little more true to real life -- i think the coloring went a lot better than i expected honestly, i havent used alcohol markers in a long time so it was nice to get them out again -- im sorry, but i kinda love the hair and facial expression, also some of the best eyebrows ive done, idk why but eyebrows trip me up a lot 4) more doodles, not my best work but i tried to ramp up my expressive-ness as much as possible so the mouth isnt rlly even on the face anymore TToTT it worked, kinda
