#nzpol While I get the cruelty is the point of Luxon and Upston's welfare policy announcement I still struggle to fathom it. Is this limit of $65k before or after tax? That level of household income isn't even enough to cover basic living costs.
I always knew this government would be bad but...

It's most definitely spring with wildly changeable weather even for Auckland but nice to get out and about in the Botanic Gardens

Can't believe Luxon sold it for this shitty coin

The outcomes of National governments are many. This is undoubtedly one of our worst

Can add to the chorus that Eros Kafe in Adelaide is the real deal. Delicious

Checking all the bits are attached before heading off to Adelaide for the night. Looking forward to trying out Eros Kafe @dreddieclark.bsky.social

Before our daughter was born we began collecting the Little People, Big Dreams series. One of those is on Anne Frank. Not sure what to make of it but our blonde, blue-eyed 4 year-old wants us to read this one a lot. Hitler was a bad man and Donald Trump is a bad man she says. I think she might be ok

Yesterday heading for the Gold Coast there was a lot of active thunderstorm activity. We had to make a sharp turn to the north after threading through some decent weather then got radar vectors for the ILS. The ILS is rarely done at the Gold Coast as it has to be justified to the local community.

Beautiful day for flying down the length of the country. I would like to say this is Lake Tekapo but I'm honestly having doubts. Full visual confirmation is hard even on a clear day at 36,000 feet when you're doing 470 knots groundspeed

Miss 3 asked me to take Chase to Christchurch. It was raining outside so he did not accompany me on the walk-around before heading back to Auckland

St Elmo's fire dancing across the windscreen while on descent from 35,000 feet last night with a lot of weather around the Southern Alps. Very cool to see for the first time

Quite nice to be able to eat a meal in the new machine without dropping food down ones lap

Age yourself with your first computer.

Not the first that we owned but definitely the first computer I encountered from 5 years old at primary school. We had one Amiga 500 in each classroom. Used to get to school early so we could play Lemmings.
