After a few days of somewhat warmer temperatures in New York, we’re back to subfreezing conditions. So, again, I’m wearing an N95 to keep my face warm while walking three miles to work. But this time I’ve stepped up the color coordination with a surgical mask on top.

How to keep your face warm while walking more than three miles to work in temperatures below freezing point? An N95. In particular, I find that SoftSeal valved N95s work well for this purpose.

I traveled with my AirFanta 3Pro air purifier for the first time on a recent trip to Cleveland. Disassembled, it easily fitted in a bag, took only a minute or two to reassemble when I arrived, and enabled me to safely unmask for a Skype meeting the first day. Great product, @adamwong.bsky.social!

Contrary to very low expectations, enough senators said NFW to Gaetz - and at this very early stage. Let’s hope this is an early indication that they will resist the worst excesses of the next administration.

Islamic art gallery at The Cleveland Museum of Art. This is a mihrab (prayer niche) from Isfahan - a beautiful city I visited in 2007 on my first trip to Iran. Iran is so much more than the narrow stereotype shown in the news and peddled by scaremongering politicians.

Off to Cleveland, OH for the w/e, a trip booked weeks ago. My only other OH trip was to Columbus: volunteering for Hillary’s campaign in the 10 days leading up to and including Election Day 2016. So it’ll have to be third time lucky for visiting OH without the specter of a Trump presidency looming.
