I'm hoping the 218th vote will be the winner of the AZ 7th District Special Election being held on Sep 23. The democrat, Adelita Grijalva, is favored to win.

I agree that food prices are getting out of control. However, I'm from California and know a grower who farms Cotton Candy grapes. They are a specialty grape and the price listed tracks. These grapes cost more than regular grapes because of their limited availability and it costs more to cultivate.

It's called convict leasing. You are correct. Trump eluded to it at his press conference at Alligator Auschwitz

I dont understand this? How can you be a US citizen in one state but not another? To me, it means US citizenship doesn't exist anymore. It's now states citizenship. And with Congress and now the Judiciary abdicating their power, we will now have 50 little fiefdoms under a king?

No, listen to the full sentence. It is clear the policy applies to cases involving "non-drug capital crimes" committed by 3 specific groups of people: cartels, transnational criminal organizations and undocumented immigrants. It is not to seek the death penalty to anyone who is here undocumented.

We are not just preparing for the tariffs but also for the mass deportations of the migrant farm workers. We have stocked up on canned goods, Brita water filters, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. And we have also planted 4 fruit trees and a vegetable garden so we can eat fresh veggies and fruits.

With the number of uninsured rising to about 21-24 million because of these cuts, hospitals will fail because they will be treating uninsured people who can't pay. And mortality rates will rise because people won't be able to get the health care they need.
December 2, 2024 at 9:34 PM
Then would be to eliminate the clause where insurers cannot vary their rates based on your health status. Then they will eliminate the ban on yearly benefits and lifetime benefits. All of this can be done thru budget reconciliation.
December 2, 2024 at 9:31 PM
I said, that is just step 1. The plan isn't to just "take it away" like they tried last time. It's death by a 1000 cuts. Next will be to eliminate the coverage of preexisting conditions. Which, if you are a woman, that is considered a preexisting condition.

The first step will be to allow the ACA enhanced subsidies to expire at the end of 2025. This will cause premiums to increase by 20%. 93% of people who buy their insurance thru the ACA marketplace receive enhanced subsidies. They will drop their insurance, causing premiums to rise all around.
