3) The 2nd path report came back negative. I had 33 staples up and down my shaved belly afterward.
Pro Tip: get your cat buddy(s) fixed *early* because once the hormones kick in, female cats are especially susceptible to mammary cancer.

2) The lumpectomy was canceled and a mastectomy of the right-side mammary chain was performed. Pathology report was positive for cancer. After a 6-week recovery from the first mastectomy, a 2nd on the opposite side was performed. It was considered proactive.

My care giver and I missed last year's holiday season due to a health concern. An observant vet tech discovered a small lump near one of my teats during a routine visit. The vet recommended a lumpectomy. During prep for that, a 2nd lump was discovered.
