I think you missed my analogy? Dystopian fiction tells us stuff we don’t necessarily wanna hear but is often quite possible, like a warning. Hating on it is like burning down the observatory.

This reminds me of the time in The Simpson’s when the town (and earth) barely escaped a meteor and someone yelled “let’s burn down the observatory”.
Dystopian fiction warns us of what is possible, whether we wanna see that or not.
