That's so cool.

That's alright then. You don't have to strain yourself. Have a good day man 😁
April 1, 2025 at 5:36 PM
The hyperbolic example used in the post is what I was referencing there. I likened it to another common argument about finances since it seemed topical enough.
April 1, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Well then I suppose I misinterpreted your statement. When you quoted only the first part of my reply and then stated
'But that is not helpful for any meaningful conversation. Those are only possible when there is a common understanding of what is being said.'
It seemed out of place.
April 1, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Well I only have gotten on here with this account today really since I'm sick. Forgot my old account password and just made a new one so yeah, if I had a ton of things that would be strange. I do get why you'd be confused tho, can't blame you for that
April 1, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Things like this are so detrimental to actual conversation taking place. It's no different than saying 'Just raise the minimum wage to $300/hour and we won't have any homeless people'. Tariffs are not inherently good or bad. They're part of global trade and that's why other nations use them with us
April 1, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Did you like.. Not read the rest of what I said? I elaborated on my initial statement a little bit because you didn't specify anything at all about what part of what I had said did not make sense to you. So I gave it broad strokes and now I'm the one not trying to reach understanding?
April 1, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Does coming from a country in an active war mean he's no longer held to the standard of his office? He wasn't at risk then so imo no. You're way too emotional if you're calling somebody inbred and insulting me over my own subjective stance. Please discuss things civilly like an adult in the future.
April 1, 2025 at 5:15 PM
But also I do want to say thank you for acting civil when you disagreed with my super vague statement and not resorting to blind, hateful, insults. I get a lot of those on this platform and it's good to see somebody who with more decorum than that
April 1, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Makes sense to me anyway. League of Nations failed, got replaced by the UN, and after so many decades now of these "extended conflicts" and revolutions destabilizing the world while the big nations sell arms and incite both sides if there's another major war globalists will want more direct control
April 1, 2025 at 5:06 PM
I'm adding nothing to this or the subject matter because.. well, people get way too heated on this platform. But I wanted to pop in quick. Can you imagine being the guy who was given (or chose) the name Duckworth? Like the dude stood up and said I, and my descendants are worth ONE duck. Kinda funny
April 1, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Well that wasn't very nice. I don't get where you get all that energy from. I'm not a fan of when Biden did it and I'm not a fan of when Trump did it but in both cases I don't mind as much as when it is an official from another nation who wanted media coverage of the event. My position hasn't moved
April 1, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Was anything I said detrimental to the position I hold? Not any more than you being part of some Founding Family and all that. You told me your history and I told you mine. If you think I said it to make you guilty then you're probably too emotional for this right now.
April 1, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Cool. My folks and I were Russian refugees back when I was a kid so again, I'm no fan of the Russian government and I take it seriously. We don't have the resources to waste on another decade long surface war with them right now. Total warfare or nothing. If you disagree that's fine.
April 1, 2025 at 4:53 PM
You know, the whole thing about the front lines would be more meaningful if those same European allies you brought up weren't telling us we were irresponsible for owning firearms and for not wanting tons of refugees from active warzones being shipped across our nation.
April 1, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Did I say that they haven't acted like an empire? No, I don't believe I did. Most nations are driven by the desire to expand and acquire more influence of every kind at the cost of another's riches. The US isn't any different either in regard to that. Our treasury is quite a concern of mine.
April 1, 2025 at 4:48 PM
M'kay. You're free to think that and I'm not afraid of disagreeing with you about that. I'm not a fan of most US presidents either I do find it funny that the 'dictator' is taking drastic action to lessen the power our federal government has over us though. Not sure dictator is the right word there
April 1, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Well thank ya and I hope that someone does more than drag out a war that is killing so many people. I don't want to lose a single American life to yet another 10 year "extended conflict" so I'm against it. I'm all for it if somebody else wants to conquer Russia to stop their government instead
April 1, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Those same allies you mentioned were adamant about the harsh reparations on the Germans post WW1 that led directly to the socialists taking over and the horrors of WW2. I'm no fan of the Russians but I won't pretend like Western Europe hasn't incited more violence than them throughout history.
April 1, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Allies who fleece us with trade and constantly condemn us for our culture? The Cuban missile crisis wasn't just a one way thing either. We have how many bases across the globe aimed at how many governments? Blank check may be an exaggeration but there are no friends in international politics.
April 1, 2025 at 4:29 PM
Personally I find it unnecessary and distasteful in general because I prefer to separate work and private life regardless of who it is where. But when a world leader refuses to wear a simple suit upon being requested to in our capital that's an insult to us in front of the world.
April 1, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I look at it this way, one was an international setting about a war in front of the media that Ukraine insisted on. The other is a domestic affair that modern presidents do to show favor to their supporters. Biden did a very similar thing for the LGBT community and people got mad about that one.

As a woman, as a 1st generation Slavic immigrant, and as a voter who has struggled with my finances before I still don't see how people rationalize that ID can be sexist or racist. I've faced racism (nobody likes a Russian) and sexism plenty but never once when I showed somebody my state ID.
April 1, 2025 at 4:16 PM
I feel that. My parents fled from that hellhole. That being said I don't blame the Russian laymen. When in history has anybody else ever came to their rescue? They get invaded, killed, sieged, and have to save themselves. The world will never reach out to help them overthrow tyranny.
April 1, 2025 at 4:12 PM
I love it. Idk what it is or frankly who you are but I like the derpy lil guy.
