I'd still be looking for another job.

My only gripe with Claude is that it often overcomplicates and writes custom functions for functions that already exist in a package, which isn't great if you want to ensure standardized output.

Let me know about postdocs in neuroscience. Summer 2026.

Shut it down. There can be no movement forward. And once he's out, policy changes to ensure no power grab like this is possible again.

Awfully self-righteous for a guy who can't muster 10 virtual acquaintances.

Who are these super scientists that are going to find the cause of "chronic inflammation" in children in the next 100 days???

My grant was reassigned to its study section!

I'd love to participate. Especially as an underrepresented student and someone who studies autism.

I got lucky and found eggs for a reasonable price at trader Joe's.

I'm an underrepresented white PhD student in a public school. My admins and faculty can't help. I'm using my unique situation to send information on how to adapt to new policies to the other grads. Bc with my CV, I am unlikely to be hired regardless. But knowing there are people in my corner helps.

Funny...cause I'm studying the functional pathways downstream of genetic and epigenetic patterns in autism, and my grant is no longer going to a study section to get funding.

There's a group that's download the original data from multiple districts and is analyzing it. It looks like after a certain percentage is in, there's a clean, unnatural bifurcation of data and many Republican votes are presidential only, missing the local candidates.

My son is addicted to sesame buns. :)

Nothing so far. I made a statement as the student social chair of my grad program. The faculty apparently debated for a few hours whether to let it through, but, to their credit, they ultimately did. Since it's entirely student-run and unfunded, they can't legally prohibit our DEI organization.
