Tech nerds seem to treat this as a limitation that can be overcome rather than a symptom of the entire reason their technology works at all. It really bugs me.

This has basically been my wholly uneducated understanding too-- That they can't hack logic into an algorithm that fundamentally runs with no logic. It can't tell you how many r's there are in strawberry because it can't know what counting is or what r's are.
