I have worked as a copy editor with a little reporting on the side (for a small paper) and as a teacher, and I think it’s important to note that truth telling is unequally distributed *within* these institutions, not just between them!

Not sure that being stimulated— or whatever it is—is the same as not being bored. The physical posture and facial expression of kids sitting on their phones for hours looks pretty much exactly like boredom.
