I loved the world and the setting of the first movie, and the sheer potential to it. But the weak story and sheer tone deafness of its own plot really shot down so much of that enjoyment that I haven't even bothered watching the second one.

Yeah! How many ways can we utilize. On-human "expressions" and still have them read as the emotion we want? Without directly copying others who've done it before? The similarities and the differences are so cool!
