i played berseria on steam! it came out in 2017!
abyss is possibly the most popular not-yet-remastered game and it was for PS2
like, i get that an older game will take longer to remaster and this one's probably easy but doing berseria now looks dumb

i built my mom's house (decorated in the strongest way i remember it, so like 1993-1998-ish?) in house flipper 2

this is my bedroom for that entire time period
i chose it in 4th grade because i wanted girls in my class to be my friend
i gave up on that by 6th grade and hated it ever since
a bedroom, as decorated by a 1993 10-year-old who didn't know they were nonbinary yet and really just wanted the girls in their class to stop ostracizing them all colors are roughly accurate, but the wall border was actually clipart of makeup (lipstick, compacts, etc) in picture: wall paint is lavender bedframe is painted white bedspread is white and pink wall border around top edge of walls is pink, yellow, blue, and white there is a dark brown desk against a wall with a corkboard above it there is also (less visible) a particleboard bookcase and dresser, in a lighter shade and a nightstand with a white lamp on it. the nightstand is cherry none of the furniture matches and all of it except the particleboard stuff (maybe that too tbh) is hand-me-down

cat regularly slept in small cardboard delivery box on my desk
delivery box was to be recycled
family dispute about whether it was cat's box to keep or not
i solved problem by purchasing a similarly sized non-trash box (and a cat bed)
she rejected the cat bed and immediately chose box
gray/white/brown older cat sleeping in small cardboard box that something had been delivered in. she doesn't super look like she fits but she doesn't care. box is on a wooden desk. same gray/white brown cat now sleeping in similarly sized navy blue fabric collapsible box, in same spot on desk

Help! (1965) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
George Harrison and John Lennon in the movie Help!. They are in the Bahamas on a rocky shore near the ocean on a partly cloudy day. They both are holding guitars. George is standing and looking to his right into the distance. John is lying at George's feet, John's feet propped up on a rock, looking at the camera and strumming. Both of them are probably high as a kite. Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr and Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Having escaped from the Nazis at Schloss Brunwald, the Joneses stop to argue over their travel plan. Indiana is driving a motorcycle and Henry is in the sidecar. Indiana is looking at Henry in disbelief, because Henry wants to go pick up his Grail diary in Berlin since it has all the clues to passing the trials of the grails, and Indiana thinks they should skip that and go straight for the Grail itself. Indiana thinks Henry should have memorized the contents of the diary; Henry says "I wrote it down so I wouldn't HAVE to!" They end up going to Berlin where Indiana, disguised as a Nazi, inadvertently gets the diary autographed by Hitler himself.

raven today vs tyra today
raven on pitstop s17e01 which aired in early 2025. she no longer has any obvious piercings and is wearing a black pussycat wig. her makeup is much more intense and she has had her lips done as well (they are nude-colored but much bigger). she also is wearing black lace gloves and a i don't know what it is, is it still a bodysuit if it doesn't have legs or arms? if so then that, with large black feathery things along the top a literal dumpster fire (ha ha get it because tyra is a trash person)

when drag race first started samantha and i watched s1, i think we watched s2 together too?

i remember really wanting raven to win s2, in part because i thought she was hot both in and out of drag, and also smart/funny, and thinking "well, fuck" when tyra wore the green swimsuit at the end
raven's out-of-drag look in season 2. raven has a shaved head, earrings, a black t-shirt, a lip ring and dolphin/shark bite piercings (there's only 2 but they're further toward the corners of mouth, i dunno what you call that) raven's s2 finale look. raven is wearing a short brown wig, earrings, dark eye and lip makeup. she is wearing a black pinstriped corset(?) with black tulle ruffles along the top, black vinyl thigh high boots, and black pinstriped panties or short shorts or something also with ruffles tyra's finale look that she won in. she is wearing a curly brown wig, large silver dangly earrings, soft and lovely makeup, a sea green bathing suit with a faint flowery/sequined pattern across the front, sea green heels, and a gorgeous sea green and pink thin cape tied just below her boobs, which she is holding open to show off

hahaha shortly after passing the area in the screenshot i passed the kingdom of car! (i think it's a trucker rest area but this entry is AMAZING)
still driving in Chelyabinsk Oblast. there is a structure that looks like two medieval towers with a bridge between them, and on that bridge sits a car there is a small sign on one of the towers advertising bath and shower behind it is a gas station, cafe and hotel trucker rest area, basically but THE KINGDOM OF CAR!!

playing ets2 again
driving in chelyabinsk oblast
passed a nice little market on the side of the road which had:
--fresh watermelons
--24/7 pelmeni and vareniki and other russian cuisine
--souvenir shop (sells knives, fur boots, samovars, etc)
--pizzeria
--warning sign about mental asylum in the area
driving in Chelyabinsk Oblast (Southern Region map for ETS2 (SRMAP)) it's golden hour and there's a large birch forest in front of it are some shops including a "russian cuisine" restaurant selling 24/7 pelmeni and vareniki, a pizzeria, a souvenir shop that sells postcards and magnits and also knives and fur boots and samovars, and on the far left, a highway sign warning about a mental asylum in the vicinity

oh yay! it's not actually daytime in game but i adjusted the time settings in photo mode to make this more visible. this is the second time i have run into this, it's a company or gas station that is glitchy AF and the gamelog indicates it's a bad model definition in the belarus files
gas station(?) the road in front of it has huge consecutive panels cut out with just plain red underneath. there is a random pond next to the road, with a vertical wall of grass alongside and some yellow parallel lines floating a few feet above it. the gas station(?) itself looks dirty af and i think that is a result of the glitching, not the actual model. most of the gas station paved area is covered with grass clipping through

in porkhov russia, everybody parks on the side of the road and has perpetual-motion car batteries i guess
it is dusk in porkhov russia, in ets2 with likely-rusmap mod (i have a lot of russian map mods and am never really sure which mod is relevant to which part of the map i'm in) anyway there were a number of cars like this parked on the side of the road, completely empty of people, with headlights on.

this is from a mod and thus almost definitely is the real-life russian equivalent of Smokey the Bear but uh.
billboard near a Russian forest in ETS2 (one of the Russian mods tbh not sure which one. maybe rusmap). it is red, has a picture of a cartoonish russian soldier with a white beard and mustache, and a small picture of a forest on fire, and it says "не жгите Лес, негде будет партизанить!" which translates to roughly "don't burn down the forest, there will be nowhere to be a partisan!" google translate said "nowhere to fight" but that is not the word for "fight", that explicitly is the word meaning "to be a partisan" and in Russian, partisan is something like a guerrilla

syria has lower budget than iraq, as a country

guard on syrian side of the lebanon-syrian border in ets2, promods middle east. he is wearing green camo with an assault rifle strapped to his back, and is standing in t-pose. next to him is a doberman sitting up. there were three other identical pairs of man and dog at this border crossing, and another two pairs just past it. none of them moved at all and all of them were posed identically. border guard on the iraq side of the syria-iraq border, also in ets2 promods middle east. guard is wearing brown/tan camo, with assault rifle strapped to his back, and has a doberman next to him. but unlike the syrian guard, the iraq guard has his hands on his hips and is idly scuffing his foot on the ground.
