The homeowners said they had recently purchased the property and had not seen the case containing the explosives before the contractors found it.

The EOD team from Bangor took possession of the grenades, which are believed to be military issue. The remainder of the explosives were secured and taken by the WSP bomb squad. 4/5

An explosive ordnance team from Naval Submarine Base Bangor was also called to the scene and Olalla Valley Rd. SE was closed to traffic for public safety.
Ten grenades were found and bomb technicians determined they contained TNT, a powerful explosive. 3/5

Workers immediately called the homeowners who are not living at the residence while the work is underway. The homeowner called 911 to report what was found.

The injured 16-year-old was transported to a hospital in Tacoma with serious injuries and is expected to recover. 4/4

During the altercation, the 15-year-old pulled a knife, stabbing one of the other teens in the chest. After Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, November 13th, they located the 15-year-old suspect and placed him under arrest. 3/4

The man was booked into the Kitsap County Jail, and the weapon was seized. The dog was taken for safekeeping by Kitsap County Animal Control. 4/4

The man admitted to the Deputy that he had an unloaded handgun and full magazine in his glove compartment and gave permission for a search.
His blood alcohol level was measured at nearly three times the legal limit, and he had previous DUI convictions. 3/4

The driver, a 32-year-old Port Orchard man, was found slumped forward in his seat in the entrance of a McDonald’s drive-through. A dog inside the car barked loudly. The man eventually woke up and noticed the Deputy and exited his vehicle. 2/4

When they arrived, they found a truck reported stolen from Jefferson County and the carcass of a freshly shot male deer.
The 24-year-old driver has a lengthy criminal history from Clallam County and Jefferson County, including a recent conviction for Assault 4th Degree DV 2/4
