Quitting is one way to demonstrate morals, but probably not very effective at brining about broader change. Another way to express one's morals is to exercise the privilege that comes with tenure to speak up and on behalf of oppressed groups.

Why quit? As a tenured prof, she's in the best position to push back hard. Students have no power (contrary to what the NYT and right wingers have to say), and staff or contingent faculty are too vulnerable. Quitting does precisely dick

95% of people under a certain age IN the Philly area have no clue it happened. Fewer of my college-aged students know about it each semester, which gives me the opportunity to talk more about it each semester. The new podcast is a boon to my syllabus!
