how about we just let people enjoy things and stop acting like it’s such a bother that a piece of ESCAPIST ART isn’t going to win a fucking pulitzer anytime soon. you want something profound and intellectual, go somewhere else. chances are if you don’t like a book, IT WASNT INTENDED FOR YOU ANYWAY.

not to mention a lot of folks LIKED those books before they gained popularity but now suddenly it’s overrated and people need to read xyz because it’s SO MUCH BETTER etc etc. so, you liked it before it was cool? you may as well go poke out the lenses of some 3D glasses now.

grew up in Ohio, now live in Illinois. crossing through that state to get here was awful, and every time we drive out to see family back in ohio we spend NO time dilly dallying in between.
