I like the direction, you could warp the imagery on the screen to fit the curvature of the glass. It'd help to ground it a bit

Ok cool, glad you found something similar.

Otherwise you could do a raycast from the offending enemy, through your character and set your characters end location in front of any collisions that are hit by the ray cast.

This helps avoid situations where something moves through a collision between frames, which is what sounds like is happening here.

I haven't used godot, but in other engines you can do a 'sweep' check, which will check for collisions along the path of movement.
