I will never doubt Dan Trachtenberg again! I didn't like the #PredatorBadlands trailer, but after watching the movie, I can say this is one of the best blockbusters of the year. This is not just an action, visual spectacle, but there's also an emotional arc which I loved.

I admit, I've only seen a handful of John Candy movies, but his affectionate smile on screen always made me fill so good. John Candy: I Like Me encapsulates everything I thought his real life persona was, and this documentary delivers that heartwarming feeling. A wonderful human being.

#MonsterTheEdGeinStory is totally weird and messy! I thought this limited series sole focus was going to be on Ed Gein. No, the series has to cram popular movie references and other notable serial killers, for which Ed Gein was an inspiration for. What an utter disappointment!

#TheNakedGun was one of my most anticipated movies of the year, but at the same time fearful that it wouldn't honor the legacy of the original. It nails and matches the tone of the original movies that completely exceeded my expectations. Excellent casting all around!

What makes both #Thunderbolts and #FantasticFourFirstSteps in the MCU feel different is they are mostly self-contained stories. They are far from perfect, but at least they deliver a refreshingly unique experience, unlike Marvel has done post-Endgame.

To have two horror movies among the best movies of the year so far is so amazing. Both #Sinners and #28DaysLater do not follow the usual tropes in their respective sub-genres, but provide a more profound storytelling. They are so much better than they had any right to be!

And to think I almost skipped this because I didn't find the trailer particular interesting. How dumbfounded I was! #TheBalladOfWallisIsland is a sweet gem that struck a chord so hard where my emotions ebbed and flowed constantly between laughter and sadness.

#Unit234 could have been a nice nifty small thriller if it weren't for the jarring mixture of tones, not knowing which one to take. On one hand, the movie is trying to play it so seriously, but on the other one, it plays like a goofball comedy without ever being funny.

#LastBreath had the potential to be something more substantial. It lacks any human connectivity where the main characters are barely given any exposition. The underwater stuff is great, with the gloomy dark nature of the deep ocean.

I don't think there is another film that utilizes both archival footage and citations from various sources to tell a narrative story like SOUNDTRACK TO A COUP D’ETAT. It's certainly an innovative choice, that for the most really works due to its excellent editing.

If someone would have told me beforehand that Scott Derrickson is directing a romance and sci-fi/horror where the romance is easily the best part I would have been shocked. However, here we here with #TheGorge. The selling point is the chemistry between the two leads.

The Brutalist is a one-of-a-kind experience that do not often come along, so to have a film like this made on such an epic scale is nothing short of wonder. A monumental achievement of the highest order.

You immediately understand you've witnessed something really important when all the people in the theater just remained silently seated when the end credits started rolling on. There will be not another film this year that's going to be more powerful and heartbreaking as #Nootherland.
