Occasionally I’ll take on some private commissions, and one of my favourites is rpg characters. Here’s some I did for a crew playing Delta Green, which I understand to be a modern take on Call of Cthulhu. Really enjoyed doing this classic adventure comic style.

The danger of listening to adhd ‘influencers’ online, as opposed to doctors, is 90% of their hacks, are leaning into the parts of adhd that can make the experience miserable, and lead to burning out. For instance! Once you understand that your brain struggles to make the chemicals that initiate action, and that it’s learned that things like urgency, stress and shame produce good substitutes, you have to go through the grief of having to see that you have been engineering the crisis and conflict in your life to keep you functional, aware or not. There are good sources of these chemicals too, like joy, novelty and exercise, but they are much much harder to initiate without help and support from other people, and without being medicated. So when some butthead online says, ‘tell your friend to come over, and then the panic about your dirty house will make you clean it all in an hour’, they are encouraging you to do the masking that will burn you out by the time you’re 30. I built a career on being good at desperate last minute projects that were on fire, and then constantly trashed that same good reputation by being terrible when given reasonable kind timelines with no pressure. If chronic procrastination, shame about failure or the opinion of others, and impossible standards are what you think is normal for creative people, and how you’ve been powering through life, please go for an assessment. People have hurt me throughout my life, but I now, age goddamn 42, have to face that I sought them out because I didnt know how to function without it, and didnt know there was help. Ignore the internet. Talk to a professional, not some goober chasing views and validation.
