When humans press the button, and we are vaporized - I will boil smiling with the knowledge that whatever comes next will be better than this.
The BBC. An organisation notoriously full of paedos is advertising paedos propaganda.

Colour me fucking shocked.

The more I look into this, the more horrifying it's becoming. This stretches WAY beyond adequate toilet training.

THE KIDS ARE NOT DEVELOPING PROPERLY BECAUSE OF POOR PARENTING! LETS BLOCK VPNS AND INVADE YOUR PRIVACY BECAUSE OF THIS, DESPITE IT HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
January 30, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Oh my fucking god.

"7 / 10 staff (70%) say pupils who
are not toilet trained have a moderate
or major impact on class progress, and
56% of staff believe half or fewer of
these children go on to achieve a Good
Level of Development at the end of
Reception year."

THE NEU MEMBERS ARE EVEN REPORTING THIS, AND PEOPLE ARE DENYING IT'S HAPPENING BECAUSE IT WAS A NEWS STORY FROM TABLOIDS.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. THE KIDS ARE NOT OKAY.

Millennial & Gen Z parents are without a shadow of a doubt failing their children and the next generation in COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ways that how we were failed.

FUCK.

I need to give up with spelling on this website, as there is no edit button for posts - and I type too fast and hit reply before I've proof-read it out of habit.

I understand the sentiment of it not mattering to some, but it's super egregious to me the thought of this level of intrusiveness on hardware I own.

I wouldn't leave my door unlocked so they can let themselves into my house, even if it is empty. As they'd still try to sell the settle dust.

I'd love to see Steam be more indie developer friendly with drastically reduces %'s for them; but this isn't who I want it achieving it.
January 27, 2026 at 7:55 PM
This looks like a win, until you see the people responsible for the lawsuit.

From the same cut cloth of the folks who enabled the Online Safety Act, and Children's Wellbeing & Schools Bill 2025... the ones that want to ban VPNs and have spyware on all your personal devices for 'safety reasons'.
January 27, 2026 at 7:54 PM
Thank you. It has to be said... the people of this site are not cheering for the right reasons.

The implications behind who is representing 'the people' of this lawsuit is horrifying.

As far as billionaire corporations go, there are worse to side with.
January 27, 2026 at 7:42 PM
I'd love to see a more balanced system behind Steam's % cut model; but boy; with the capitalist system we have and will continue to have whether we like it or not - this is NOT the way to achieve it.

This is just going to HARM consumers.
January 27, 2026 at 7:39 PM
If you know ANYTHING about the people involved in this tribunal; you will see they're another "think about the children?!" types.

Steam was an easy target, and this is in no way a consumer lawsuit.
January 27, 2026 at 7:35 PM
Like I'm not cheering on anyone here as my dog in the fight is pretty moot, as I'm not going to pay $10 a month for a VR mod that I don't get to own a perpetual license to - but I do have my two cents on the mod itself.
January 23, 2026 at 10:44 PM
The legal claim will hold up in court and he can republish it if he truly believes in it, and request damages. He's made hundreds of thousands off the mod; so can fight it.

He can absolutely sell his software how he wants, but I don't have to be okay with it when it's a shitty subscription model.
January 23, 2026 at 10:40 PM
His work was completely dependent on injecting itself into software of someone else's IP. He locked that behind an adobe-style patreon subscription which was expensive.

I'm not against the guy trying to get paid, but he did it in the worst way possible.

This guy has the better idea:
