Would love to answer more questions! It’s using Bluesky lexicons and AppView. For me as a solo dev that is bootstrapping while looking for work, it felt like the best path to start out on. There are three components to the app: Social integration, music distribution, and music player.

Yea, it’s Bluesky lexicons for the social integration. My thought was it would be the quickest to test out the idea and then branch off to the greater ATproto once there was enough interest. I’m solo building & bootstrapping so the path of least resistance first.

Would love your feedback. What is bad? I was going for authenticity. The music is from a real indie artist. Music is subjective, so if it’s that then I understand. If it’s assembly or wording, I would love to know specifics. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi, I’m building Lyrc. Happy to answer questions. I’m pretty open to them. I’m curious, because I’m not a marketer, what is sketchy about “built on Bluesky”? Honestly. The app uses Bluesky for the social integration. Eventually I want to expand to having its own AppView. I’m a solo dev, so in time.

These two issues are at the core of what Lyrc aims to solve over time. Better monetization for independent artists & authenticity from AI. On Lyrc, only verified artists post on the platform. This is what I call a specialized social network. Sign up at www.lyrc.app and follow @lyrc.bsky.social

I started Lyrc a year ago when I was learning about the massive gap between streaming services and what artists make per stream (average pay-per-stream 0.003-5). I figured there could be a better way. Then AI started to scale and I saw a new problem. Authenticity.
