Activity in the left hemisphere of the brain causes the kissing couple in love to turn to the right.
Studies have shown that there is increased activity in an area of the brain that is involved in the regulation of emotions (anterior cingulate gyrus on the left side), as well as in the caudate nucleus, which is necessary for motor control.

Parents kiss their children, shifting to the left, because during infancy they held them on their left hand and now they habitually kiss them from the same angle. But romantic couples spin in the opposite direction - to the right.
