the most dangerous place for women is often their home (eurostat - more than 30%). I don´t see a word on that in the declaration. Or femicide. Or standing for consent based model, the yes-model, when handling rape &sexual assaults. That would really help women. Putting the blame on "others" doesn´t.

Ukraine has it already in their collective memory. We have it in our collective memory, our neighbours have it in theirs. Although it was forbidden to talk about it during the Soviet times. It is passed on. It is a trauma that we carry, no matter how concious or subconcsious the realisation is.

Today, I started my day with reading a story about an elderly man, from a village not far from my grandparents, a place, who was deported being a 6months old baby, he survived the cattle cars only thanks to his grandma who managed to keep warm somehow. The grandma did not survive Siberia.

Candles will be lit across the country on Tuesday evening to mark the 76th anniversary of the Soviet deportations that sent more than 22,000 Estonians to Siberia in 1949.
