This specially annoys me when people that mainly talk about fan projects do this, like. How are you supposed to sell me on anything when the best you can bring on in "official bad, fan good"? Some people will be thrown off and, specially, you are giving the fanwork less room to speak for itself

Like, if you want to make people get interested in fan projects, tell everyone the good and interesting things the work covers, specially if it's something that the source doesn't utilise to it's fullest potential you could bring that point of comparison on a cool and respectful way to both works
