This is turning into a tradition :) preparing for a summer exhibition with student apprentices. Reuse of books thrown out from local households. Some 30 boxes turned into a sculpture. Proud of the teamwork 🤩

300 to-be-thrown-away books resourced as building blocks for a sculpture. Glueing and painting almost done 👍 next week assembly outside on the lawn of Kiusala. Two art students from LAB Lappeenranta collaborating on the project. Summer exhibition 2/4 halfway done 🙌🏻

Funny … I wrote an essay, thinking the only ambitious part was setting the bar soooooo low that I will barely pass but get this course over& done with. So I got 4/5. Maybe I should trust myself a bit more…?!?

You know the feeling that you’re being watched? Fortunately it’s a sculpture. Walked by it all winter with blind eyes on my way to work so hurray for the end of polar night🌼

Nightshift at the studio. Artist run venues provide a nice possibility to explore & try-out new things. One of my favorite Finnish indie galleries is Galleria Jänis (rabbit) in Turku. An interesting curated window gallery. Projects like this after couple years of high profile stuff keep things real

I’ve been working ’round the clock and studying alongside (hobby of mine, lifelong learning) and now that the days are getting longer -> mornings are lighter, I wake up earlier than necessary. So by sundown I’m more than ready for some shuteye! Middle age, can’t beat it so might as well give in?
