Dude that's happened with me SO many times it's laughable like I forget a major arc/plot point and I have to redo everything to replicate smth similar ;; I'm glad this could help!! Less stress is what makes it so enjoyable ;u; good luck!!

Idk if this is the "best" way but it works for me because due to work and studying I rarely have large chunks of free time to dedicate to working on multiple chapters at a time ;; this is a slower process admittedly but I find it more enjoyable if I take my time!!

I like to write and publish chapters as I go, but have a general outline of the whole fic noted down!! And in between chapter uploads I like to work on oneshots if I feel inspired. It gives me a fresh perspective of my multi-chaptered fic whenever I come back to it!
