Oh, that makes sense! Thank you so much! I’ve been (very casually) studying Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) for a while now, but I hadn’t put that together. Once I finish the series I’ll have to read through your blog posts, these novels are endlessly fascinating.

Do you mind if I ask about another line in this book? This confused me - Oonagh’s question seems to indicate that the name “Boy” is associated with fair hair. Is this because children’s hair tends to be lighter, or is “Boy” perhaps am Anglicization of a Gaelic term that refers to blonde hair?
