My short animation "Crystal Galaxy Enforcers" screened in a small local community arts space tonight along with a bunch of other cool films and live performances, and it was a blast. I met so many amazing, friendly, supportive artists I didn't even know were in my community.

I saw some peak graphic design in the wild today. Whoever did this is a genius.
A flattened plastic bottle, probably crushed when a car drove over it, lies on the street. The pavement is still wet where the liquid in the bottle burst forth from the opening at the top of the bottle when it was crushed, creating dynamic lines that spread away from the bottle at widening angles. A crumpled up piece of paper lies at the other end of the water stain, creating the illusion that the paper is being propelled forward by the water, and that time has frozen to capture this perfect moment. The angle of the water also intersects with the curb at an acute angle, creating an equal and opposite negative space that mirrors the water's shape in a symmetrically satisfying way. As an added visual bonus, a clump of bright green weeds sprouts at the edge of the curb, creating a pop of color that contrasts against the grayness of the road, grounding the image visually while creating visual balance with the empty section of concrete above the bottle.

But can he even agree with me when he has no free will? After all, I cursed him with his predicament and I wrote the very words he is saying. Do any of us have free will? Did somebody draw us? But damn, what a good lookin' fella! And what a bunch of long spaghetti-like fingers he has! Too many, you might say. Say it. Say, "Too many." Obey me!
