UK based radiologist escaping from the hellsite. Hi!
That means that bills were half a billion pounds too expensive for people served in that area, when compared to a non-profit utility company. How much of a bill rebate would that be split per person?

Battery life is great if you're playing older/less graphically intense games. I had a 7 hour flight recently and my oled deck lasted the whole flight playing balatro, vampire survivors and hades.
Mine has a slow drain when on standby though, so it always needs recharging if not used for a few weeks

If you're in the UK you can contact PALS at your hospital and they'll supply a copy of the image for a nominal fee. It can be a right faff to organise though, so you're better off asking the radiographer taking your xray if you can take a photo. Most places will oblige but might depend on policy

Very nice. How do those stairs get to the roof though?

One interesting gender quirk, I do a lot of testicular ultrasounds and we've got a nice little heater on the machine to make sure the gel isn't too cold when applied. They don't bother with that nonsense for the pregnancy scans 😅

Part of the problem with ultrasound is that it's performed and reported by a single person and it's hard to review the scan later. Mammograms are usually double reported by specialist staff, and the images are available to review later if necessary. Ultrasound just isn't right for mass screening

They both have their role, but mammography is a really well validated technique, and some suspicious features like microcalcification can't be seen on ultrasound. Ultrasound is very operator dependent and is better at looking at a known lesion rather than screening.

I've got an electric bike with a 1 kWh battery that will happily do 100 miles. My electric car has a battery 80 times the size but only twice the range (although more comfort and much faster speeds). It's amazing how much the additional weight of the vehicle counts

Pretty sure this is a UK site, unless you also have "motorway services"?
To be fair it's hard to tell with most of the article behind a paywall

What a handsome chap. Glad he's found a happy home

No you don't. I've had plenty of cats and never trimmed their claws. It's not a thing in the UK. Give them a scratching post and the nail husks fall off on their own. Happy kitties and no unnecessary trauma.
At least it's better than declawing cats which should definitely be banned.

As one of those overworked NHS workers I'm glad you're not blaming us for your hospital woes and really appreciate this thread. Glad you're on the mend x

I mean, I'd like one just so I can read early, but happy to wait for the finished product along with all the other unwashed masses.
Congrats on nearing the finish line!

Russians love their dashcams - they're a necessity with some of the driving there. In the video dashcam footage is being shown on a screen and someone is recording it with their mobile phone. It's obviously not the first time they've watched the footage

Good job it's not up to members of the public

How do I reconcile that he is clearly the best dog, yet is also inferior to mine?
July 8, 2025 at 11:49 AM
Well, they're adorable - I've just bought a few hats. Maybe for gifts but mostly for me 🤣

Could it just be that private healthcare donations go to the party in power regardless of policies? I suspect not but not sure we can say for sure
