Literally, I'm actively working on a project rn but the temptation is so strong...

Contrast is so so so important in design, and I think that's why this works better (in my humble opinion). The design feels more filled out and complete, even though not much has been added in terms of literal fabric. On that note, I think his fur and shirt may still be a bit too close in value.

Oh maybe a little ribbon tied around his neck or something could be cute... I didn't want to restrict him with a high collar but it is quite a lot of empty skin, I see what you mean
