Today, in a town nearby closer to the front, police were searching for a couple that were hiding their young kids from being evacuated from the war zone. It’s hard to imagine why these parents want to try and keep their children in such a dangerous place. 4/

These events for children aren’t just meant to make them happy during wartime. They also help volunteers keep track of how many kids live in the area and where they stay, so they can evacuate them if needed. 2/

Over 100 children still live in this area near the front in Donetsk Oblast. The parents evacuate from the destroyed cities to the next town over hoping they can somehow return quickly to their old homes. 1/
