1) In my experience American "Spanish speakers" have absolutely terrible Spanish. Even second generation Americans can't speak it well.
2) I'll take your word for it, but wouldn't having a Spanish visa and a German visa be equivalent due to the EU's freedom of work and movement?

Yeah, yeah, that's why I said the second part about how the first list implies UK>Ireland in terms of number of emigrés and the second one says Ireland>UK

I'm a bit surprised by the European list. It looks more like retirement destinations than top countries to live. Germany and the Netherlands have higher quality of life and are more similar to the US than Spain or Portugal

Each of them on their own are not contradictory. It is possible that Ireland is not among the top 4 English speaking destinations but is when restricted to European countries. Of course that would mean Ireland is above the UK and the UK is above Ireland.

I agree with the sentiment but let's be honest, no one looked up to Verified users as the wise elders of Twitter before either. They were just people who had reached a certain number of followers and/or journalists
