I didn’t, but yet we want to approve mining on the eastern slopes. I had posed this Q on Twitter but the through all this nation building talk, if there was an enormous renewable development in AB (best places for it) and proper grid tie ins that went east, should AB get a veto?

You have Saudi which is arguably the lowest cost producer in the world, working to diversify and become less reliant on O&G and then there is Alberta. It just makes zero sense. I’ll have to check out Fire Weather.

Leach used to have great charts in regards to future production forecast overlayed with pipeline capacity. Energy East even when proposed had ridiculously high tolls. Not sure how you compete with cheaper seaborne crudes, unless she’s looking to the feds to subsidize

Also as long as shale oil is still around the 2000-2014 heyday is over. Where is all this private investment itching to build projects? It’s quite the con to be able to convince the province that this all lays at the feet of the liberals.
