extract reads: When Hiyori tells Nagisa about his dreams, his passions, and all of the unscrupulous gossip he’s certain is going on in the upper echelons of society, garbled and half-remembered from fancy parties that happened well-past his bedtime, Nagisa listens. And it’s real listening, like Hiyori has something of value to say, like Hiyori’s thoughts and feelings actually mean something, like he’s engaging with Hiyori as a person and not a spectacle or business prospect. Hiyori doesn’t quite know the difference, yet, between being liked as Hiyori and liked as Tomoe Hiyori, but he’s learning that there’s something that’s been missing from almost all of his relationships for a very long time, and Nagisa gives it to him. It’s not quite devotion; it’s far simpler than that, perhaps. A genuine interest and desire to learn, that means when Nagisa starts mumbling his way through soft-spoken sentences that trail off at the end, every conversation manages to include, “Do you think so too, Hiyori-kun?” Hiyori has never been someone who others look to for reassurance. Hiyori is the youngest, the least educated, the furthest from correctly upholding the family name, and so lives in a world of being told what to do. Sometimes directly, with orders from the head of the family. Sometimes indirectly, by overhearing his parents’ worries, the staff’s worries, from the murmurs of discontent at gatherings, from the furrow in his brother’s brow. Hiyori is tailoring his behaviour more and more every day, to lessen the ways his family worry about him and to lessen the things they need to teach him. But Nagisa doesn’t need to learn how to carry the Tomoe legacy. Nagisa needs to learn to be human.

my only orange washi tape was from an autumn set TnT but the vision is there. and that's what counts
a double page bullet journal spread for bakuage sentai boonboomger. it's blank except for boonboomger in bubble writing and five strips of washi running diagonally through the middle of the pages. there's one strip in the main colour of each core ranger: red, blue, pink, orange and black. the blue and pink are shiny. the washi begins and ends in a strip of purple origami paper, representing the additional ranger's colour - violet. they aren't perfect colour matches as the orange has white leaf patterns on it, the red has yellow detailing, and the black has red and white patterns on it resembling tire treads.

i've been working on a master doc for my magical girl reading challenge and this section has been a challenge in itself
a photo of my laptop screen while i work on a list of manga people could read for the magical girl may reading challenge. it shows the prompt "a sequel, prequel, or spin-off" and it is a huge block of text taking up the bulk of the screen. the majority of the documents are just madoka spinoffs

finally made myself work on my spreads for february in my everyday journal... i've already been filling in my weeklies and trackers so here's a blurry picture of the cover for now
a photo of my february cover spread in my bullet journal. it has a blue, purple, and green theme, with celestial and starry washi tapes and green and blue gemstones i cut from scrapbooking paper across the middle of the pages. in the top right corner there is a sticker of a blue wolf howling at the moon, and in the bottom left corner there is a matching sticker of a rabbit against the moon, listening to the howl.

filling in the first page of my media log and i am so delighted with how this spread looks (óvó)9
a photo of my bullet journal open at the "media log" page. it has been filled in to contain six entries (a sign of affection volume 6-12). the layout mostly consists of the use of a thick red washi tape and a thin purple washi tape. the title "media log" is stamped, and there are stickers made to resemble gold gilded corners on the edge of the title, and smaller ones in the very middle of the page the same spread but from a different angle, to show off the corner that wasn't as visible in the first picture.

my february media journal spreads before the pen!
a photo of my february title page in my bullet journal. it features large stickers of a pomegranate and aki izayoi from yugioh 5ds, as well as a variety of gold, red, and orange washi tape my completed and unfinished media trackers for February. the bottom of the page features origami paper layered over purple and red washi tape. a sticker of lio fotia from promare is in the very middle of the page my book club and stats pages. they are a lot more minimal than the other spreads so I can fit more info onto the page, but there is still a lot of washi tape and layered origami paper in orange and red. my media log! it's a dutch-door style spread with spaces to list the date, title, and quantity of media consumed

also as a quick proof of concept, here are all the ones that sailor moon definitely and potentially counts for, as long as you're smart with the volumes you pick for each prompt (because not every volume has a twist villain in it, but i would say at least one arc does)

finished my list of prompts for the reading challenge! and i tried filling it in with stuff i've read in the last 12 months to make sure it's doable ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )/

i've been waiting so long for this prototype because this is my favourite racing miku design and i decided to forgo the nendo for the scale but... i still don't like her face 😭
a full body photoset of good smile's 1/7 racing miku 2024 figure. there are three pictures; one facing forwards which takes up most of the screen, and then two smaller profiles. one is of her facing slightly to the side, and the other is of the figure from behind. she wears a cute witch-inspired racing suit complete with a high tech broom and futuristic witch hat. she has her mouth open in a way that makes the figure seem a little uncanny to me. a zoom in on the racing miku 2024 figure focusing on her upper body, to show off her face sculpt with the open, slightly uncanny mouth.
