This con has been an absolute blast. I have met amazing people, make connections with groups that I align with, and found some amazing artists. I got to chill in the pool or DJ’s fun, and laugh along with all the madness.

Twitter user @ASLPro_3D writes: (TL;DR to my response: Partially true, partially misdirection... read post on WHY) Interesting choice of words and in a way @Mastercard is correct, BUT let me tell you how this really worked out folks, stick with me on this and you will see they are misdirecting and not exactly truthful here. MASTERCARD is correct, they didn't talk to Itch.io or @Steam, they talked to the Internet Merchant Account... (or I.M.A.) that is usually owned by a Bank, Credit Union or financial institution who acts as the 'Credit Card Processor' and it is the processor's job to provide an Internet Gateway from a website's online store to MASTERCARD/VISA/American Express/Discover (etc.) and back. What LIKELY happened here IS... Collective Soul contacted Visa and Mastercard (as we've been doing), as they were not getting the movement they wanted directly from the stores (Steam & Itch.io), so they went directly to VISA & MASTERCARD... complained and someone from those companies either provided information of who @Steam and Itch.io's Internet Merchant Accounts (IMA's) were... or, directly contacted the Internet Merchant Account (IMA) to tell them to enforce the "Product & Service Rules" in regard to "Branding" (protecting the Visa/Mastercard brand) and the respective Internet Merchant Accounts (IMA... I.e.: BANK) for each website then contacted Steam and Itch.io and told them that they needed to clean up their book of products or be turned off and be 'black listed' and unable to get another processor to continue to operate and conduct online sales. Image 1 of 2. @ASLpro3D continues: I KNOW THIS because I am one of the creators and used to be one of the owners of Renderosity and Renderotica and I had to do this B.S. dance on the whims of banks, processors and credit card companies on a regular basis... even as far back as 1999/2000. SO... in part, Mastercard is being truthful here. they likely DIDN'T contact Steam or Itch.io directly, instead, they likely just contacted the Internet Merchant Account/Processors and told them to 'make this problem go away'... so the Internet Merchant Account/Processors did, they reminded Steam and Itch.io about the "Product & Service Rules" regarding "Branding" and if they didn't fall in line to those draconian rules, they would have no choice but turn off their access to processing Image 2 of 2
