Please be inspired by this image of a Globe Bar Cart I spotted at a thrift warehouse in rural California last week! Not sure if it’s actually vintage/antique or simply made to look like it.. Either way I was staring at it for so long I forgot to take more photos🥲
The inside of a globe bar cart. The upper half of the world has been lifted up revealing the contents within. Inside the globe is a decanter bottle in the middle and 4 glasses resting in cut out shelves with space to add liquor bottles or more glasses. The wood is a cherry color and the entire cart is stained with signs of age - or at least a solid job of intentional discoloration/wear to make it appear antique. The inside of the globe lid is a series of constellations; they are not shown as stars but as the people/things they are said to represent. There are some astrological ones included such as Libra and Aries which are depictions of scales and a ram respectively. All the constellations are labeled with a (likely anachronistic and inaccurate) old or middle english typeface / style that, for example, is uses a v-shaped character for the letter u. In the middle of the top half is a brass finial that anchors to the outer handle/lifting point. The photographer was too smitten by the object to remember to take multiple photos so there are no details of the outer shell world map.

A few of my fave performances I've seen: Beware of Pity, The Metamorphosis, 6 Chars in Search of an Author, Iphigenia, The Hothouse, Once, Arien (Pina Bausch), and Ride the Cyclone

Highly recommend local theatre, there's a lot of potential to see some of the best work at a 99 seater!

There's 2 dresses hanging on the left and right which are white and grey respectively. Downstage of the elderly man hangs a large overcoat that's dark in color. These outfits are hung by large cables that are very visible.
