I'm a gardner from Scotland who's watching the world with trepidation.
Tragically we're heading for the centennial anniversaries of the rise of Facism in 20th century Europe with the repetition of these Horrors. Trumplestiltskin is a danger to all peace loving people's!!

Why on earth is he in there in the first place?

What do you mean "while you can"? I rarely go into the city these days. Princes St is a shadow of it's former self & the Bridges too. I know it may seem parochial but Leith has everything I need. Though I may visit Waverly 'Mall' soon as I saw a poster for Avalanche records there now?

Whenever I look up Leith Walk it looks like someone has curled out a giant turd on the skyline.

It was an awful spectacle! We now know how he saw his pledge to end the War!?! This TrAnce partnership is taking us to the brink. We need Hope & a lot of Love to not be dragged down with them!

Hear, Hear...
Boycott All Things American! I will no longer be enjoying Jack Daniel's or american made guitars until there are positive changes across the Atlantic. Trump is A Crook. Way beyond Nixonian-levels!!!

The prison estate in these isles is a Travesty! The first dept. to face Cuts in every spending review. The mental health crises in the men's & women's prison populations is a Stain too! It's tragic that the only thing we hear is "prison like hotel" tabloid headlines. One you can't leave for 23hrs?

They were, in the main, an incredibly resilient group of men & women some had been in old asylums for 30-40 yrs. The idea of community care is great, if adequately resourced. As the cost-cutting & property sell-off exercise it was it was a travesty!

These awful circumstances have been deteriorating since Thatcher's gov't implemented "care in the community"! As a young man I worked with women & men who had been in old 'asylum' places due to all kinds of mild 'mental incapacity', teenage pregnancy in one tragic case! 30+ yrs never making a choice

These 'arguments' are as specious now as they ever were! We're almost ALL migrants in the lands we currently occupy. 'Othering' is just another way to create divisions. It's rarely, if Ever, the case that these people are the cause of our problems! Racism is just dirty lies about other people.

I have a friend who's been wheelchair bound for most of her adult life but her biggest concern has always been people's ignorance while shopping or out socialising when all too often people will move her chair without asking for permission or even an "Excuse me"!?! Don't think she's been spat on?

It's understandable. I'm very concerned that musk is interfering in european domestic politics to stir up the right. Those who fail to learn from history... 🤮

Looks 'filtered' if nothing else? But I've only seen them from Scotland, there may be different interactions in the ionosphere at different points of the magnetic field? It's such a Beautiful phenomenon that it needs No enhancements!

I've been privileged enough to have seen the Aurora borealis over Scotland a couple of times. Such a sight, one of the occasions was at a free festival in the north west Highlands nr Ullapool, where everyone was stunned by the beautiful display overhead. A couple of thousands of hippies in Awe!

May I ask what, if anything you think of the 'visitor levy' Edinburgh city council recently brought in, 5% on overnight bills for up to 7 nights? City council says funds raised will be put towards refuse services & public transport amongst others. Is it something you're aware of?

Although I live in the Old Port o' Leith & have done for 25yrs now, Leith was subsumed in to Edinburgh in early 20th C. so the city could benefit from revenues generated by the Port. Leither's still hold on to their identity separate from the City.

Holyrood House is a place of pilgrimage for fan's of Mary. Just a mile up the road, where many of the working poor in Edinburgh's Old Town lived cheek-by-jowl gives a glimpse into 'real-life' for those Edinburger's, a 'theme park' now, at least it's still partially lived in. I do love my hometown.
