Either way you guys have my full support, artists turning against each other is the last thing we need during the dawn of AI.
This really seems like a smear campaign / witch hunt.
I've been reporting pen for targeted harassment since it's clear the account was made for this purpose only.

I don't think the pen person is Nat, whoever they are, Nat uses she/her pronouns, wouldntmind19 is calling this pen person he/him.
They are definitely still a part of the same circle, as wouldntmind19 is directly contributing information to pen's "document".

It's not pretty but it's the truth, they're already facing horrible harassment because whoever your buddy is decided to start this without conclusive proof.
It would be so much easier if it could be confirmed that it had an ai watermark or something similar but it doesn't.

As long as he knows that the subsequent bullying and harassment is his direct fault then.
No matter how many disclaimers you put on something, it doesn't counteract your actions from having been the catalyst.

I just really don't think it's appropriate to post these things, it does -intentionally or not- produce harassment.

It also has a built-in playback speed function so you can slow it down for further analysis.

Their first artwork posted on Twitter was posted February 2023 so it's been closer to 3. If you look at necropathy's Tumblr, they have a slower version of the speedpaint available which might be easier to view.

If it comes out that *some* of their art is run through AI to finish it *but not all*, I think that anything that used AI should be removed from their profile, any commissions using AI should be refunded if possible, and they have to label anything to use(d) AI on, for or with.

I'd also say if you look at some of their other artwork, there are consistencies that wouldn't make sense for AI.

Because of my belief on harassment, I think that the pen account should not be doing what they're doing until they have the solid evidence, because unless they have proof, this is just going to be used to harass Necro, no matter what disclaimers they put on their posts.

I really don't think anybody should be harassed over this crap. Not you. Not Necro. Nobody. I will say I don't want this pen guy poking around unless they can provide 100% concrete evidence that isn't "this looks funny." I'm tired of losing artists.

If they're going to do that, why not fix any issues that are glaringly obvious anyway, especially if they want to get away with it?

I just think it's arguable. I want solid evidence. I've seen far too many creators bullied off of platforms for me to trust anything less than complete proof.

I'll be honest, I saw a million of these things back when I was starting out drawing for anime character bases. They're bald so you can give them the right hair for their character, and AI won't generate naked characters, even for references.

Which is pretty much the same exact thing that happened to traditional animation when computer animation was popularized. The traditional animators were unionized and it was cheaper to underpay the computer animators so they iced out the entire profession. It's disgusting, but it's what they want.

I could see the logic (though not agree) that using AI to make references to trace instead of tracing other artists work would be less harmful to other artists, however, I personally believe that AI usage is killing all artists as a profession by providing a cheap alternative. (3)

If Necro is tracing off their references, they wouldn't be able to use the window function, it would have to be in the layers. And yet again, they would not want to reveal this to the public as it would be a source of major backlash. I could see the logic (though not agree with it) that using (2)

I really genuinely think that necro has accidentally used AI references, but not more than that. No artist making money from their art would intentionally use the hack that is driving them out of their craft.

I mean if necro was an ai mastermind, don't you think they wouldn't have put the reference in their speed paint? Also that says it replaces the synth ID with a new one.
