Oh, they will fake anything "popular". But yeah seems rather pointless on an chip of such small value. The annoying thing is, they are not even rebranded from a cheaper brand, because at least then I would have a working chip 🤣

Things I love. Fake IC's off eBay. I know, I know. Just I needed just 2 SPI flash chips and ordering off the likes of mouser/digikey have min orders.

Things I love. Fake IC's off eBay. I know, I know. Just I needed just 2 SPI flash chips and ordering off the likes of mouser/digikey have min orders.

The pin can go through quite a bit of material and still lock closed.
I sure this could be used for things!

Oh and in “interesting 3rd party AirTag” news. Did you know you can get AirTags that have a locking pin on them. Like those anti shoplifting tags. You poke the pin though the item you want to track and push the tag on the pin and it stays put.
You can use a magnet key to unlock the tag…

Here is what the clip looks like. Its just a small clip, so at some point the plastic will give way if pulled on it hard enough. But it "should" be good enough, at least it will be for my use.

Every since @drknrdy.com showed me his ankle cuff with an AirTag in it I've not been able to get it out of my head. Just one of those things that's been living rent free!
So put my own twist on such a design. Made it look more like a "ankle monitor" (I have a thing for them) which snaps closed.

Ok it might a tad warm.
Printed this YEARS ago. Just a simple fix to a stake. Looked in the garden and the thing was leaning over and well yeah deformed the plastic.
Printed it years ago in PLA, so it’s lasted longer than I would it would.

Made a couple of minor adjustments to the belt. So new box time! Also checked for any issues with the belt, and cleaned up while I had the chance.
