On second look it could also be daytime, but that isn't the feeling I instinctively get.

It looks ominous, and it's hard to put my finger on why. The very fact of drawing attention to a door suggests that something is behind it, and I think the combination of the lighting suggesting nighttime and the door likely being inside a home makes it feel... off.

I'm sure it's a very nice door.
