it doesn't even feel thematically-pointed for most of that album. it just feels like whoever did the mix was afraid of getting the guitars out of the way of the other instruments

"the prodigal ones" off of their latest album, Ànv, is probably the best example i can gesture at of this. and the thing is, too, the guitars are *often* doing interesting things, it's just it's always while they're just droning that they drown out everything else

as for your interface: if it's newer than 2014, USB, and works on windows without installing a driver first, it'll work on linux for all purposes. if you have to install a driver to make it work, just google "[interface model name] arch linux" and you'll find out if it works
