If this post gets any traction (it won’t) please don’t get defensive in the comments. I fight w my fam enough abt politics enough n I just wanted to share some contextual techniques for analyzing the magazine covers.

Please know that I literally don’t give a damn abt this magazine, I’ve never picked one up at the grocery store and I probably won’t. I don’t have any thoughts on the cover with H*tler on it, it doesn’t seem like they disliked him at the time based on the picture they used and how normal it looks.+

Here’s an instance of another technique they use, which equates to darkening and over saturating images to blow the picture out of context. Here, OJ doesn’t have the same set of ‘horns’ and they’re kind of screwed, but they incriminated him by editing his pic so extremely.+

Here are some other covers in which they deployed the devil horns technique, I will say that they tend to make US politicians have HUGE horns by enlarging the M. They don’t seem to like a lot of politicians regardless of political affiliation or party.+

They did the same with A LOT of politicians and the Pope— honestly I think they’ve done it with Tr*mp the most.
Some of them aren’t justified, I’m not trying to redeem them or anything cus they are a mainstream form of media that lies constantly, but with this instance I thought it was important.+
